Must visit. Lot of history and day to day functioning of councils when countries come together. Guide was very nice, informative and precise
Great place that you have to visit if you come to New York. Take a tour guide to get complete information if you want to save time.
I enjoy a lot! It has many assignments from all around the world!
Amazing visit inside the UN headquarters. By joining a guided tour you will be able to hear the history of this glorious institution (where the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was written) and to see the meeting rooms where fundamental decisions are taken for the entire world. Very instructive for kids and adults. Don't miss it if you are in NYC!
The UN tour was great but check in really needs to figure out how to be more efficient. More staff for a start!
Due to covid regulations, everyone had to wear a mask (per their website, they are now "recommended"), although the guide did not wear a mask because, as she rightfully pointed out, it would be very difficult to hear her. The tour was about hour, and the guide was excellent. I found the tour very interesting and informative and I learned a lot. A nice touch to the tour was that after explaining a certain exhibit or area of the UN, the guide would allot a few minutes for everyone to take photos, so you didn't have to worry about missing out on the tour or running to catch up because your were taking photos.
An international made up of form created by 193 countries, has as main objective is to promote peace. Receives the most important world leaders, but is also open to visitors. To enter the oficial headquartes is necessary bring with you passport/ID and there are some security protocols to be followed. Children under 5 years old are not allowed. There is to the guided tour by ticket payment where the guides will detail global issues such as human rights, peace and disarmament, but enter into the courtyard and hall of entry, is free and has articles of the art from the various member countries.
What you should not miss: Take your headset and download the application through the App Store or IOS Android to gain access to the major works of art displayed there.
Highly recommend to visit the UN when in NYC. We booked a tour in advance and this was a great experience.
